The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coin was introduced in 1988, and it has been minted every year since. They contain .9999 fine silver and are one of the most beautiful coins at the size of a dollar.
The design on these coins is exquisite, with meticulous attention to every little detail. There have been many modifications to the design, including proof releases, several privy marks, holographic enhancements, and commemorative varieties.
However, the essential features of the .9999 fine Silver coin have remained the same since its inception. The obverse of the coin depicts the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II or now King Charles 2025, and the reverse of the coin showcases the signature maple leaf that is closely associated with Canadian patriotism and reflects national pride.
The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coin is a treasured addition to any collection, and it is especially sought after for its quality and craftsmanship. The coins are also popular as gifts, both for their beauty and the significance of the maple leaf motif. As the Royal Canadian Mint continues to produce these coins year after year, they remain a highly coveted investment and a proud symbol of Canadian heritage.

First released in 1986, the American Silver Eagle is the United States' official silver bullion coin. The Silver Eagle comes in one size consisting of 1 oz of .999 fine Silver. It has a face value of $1 and is backed by the U.S. Government. The Silver Eagle has been produced at three mints: the Philadelphia Mint, the San Francisco Mint, and the West Point Mint.
The U.S. Mint does not add mint marks to bullion Silver Eagles. Mint of origin is only identifiable by the sealed boxes the coins ship in, either via distinguishing straps or the serial number assigned to each box. Silver Eagles are IRA-eligible, as they meet the IRS's fineness requirements. In addition to the bullion version, the United States Mint has produced Proof Silver Eagle versions and uncirculated versions for collectors.
